Orland Park Pioneers Red Team Clinches 2023 Flag Bowl Championship

The #3 seeded Orland Park Pioneers Red Team secured the title of 2023 Flag Bowl Champions after a series of relentless victories on a wet and muddy Saturday in October, concluding the thrilling River Valley Flag Football season. In a hard-fought final showdown, Pioneers Red sealed a 42-35 win over the #1 seeded Frankfort Falcons Blue Team.

Led by head coach Paul Bertucci and supported by assistant coaches Joey Zotto, Anthony LaPapa, and Ryan Hennigan, the Pioneers Red Team displayed exceptional teamwork and skill that propelled them to victory.

Throughout the season, seven Orland Park Pioneers and Frankfort Falcons teams, composed of players aged 5 to 8, battled fiercely each weekend, which then determined the final rankings for the Flag Bowl Championship. But beyond the competition, the players were all smiles, having a great time on the field, showcasing their love for the game.

On the sidelines, proud parents and grandparents cheered their players on, showing unwavering support for the young athletes, fostering an atmosphere of encouragement and pride.

As the 2023 Flag Bowl season came to an end, the Orland Park Pioneers Red Team’s triumph highlighted not only their exceptional skills but also the joy and camaraderie that defines the spirit of youth sports, leaving lasting memories for both players and supporters alike.
